I saw this posted on Pinterest, and it really got me thinking. At first, it took me back to this post, when I was steaming about all the things that bother me. I guess I am a hypocrite afterall (which - ironically enough is another thing that I absolutely hate). So now it is time for me to redeem myself and answer the question, "what do I love?"
The first answers were obvious.
I love my Mike. I love my families. I love my friends. I love my dogs. I love my job. I love books. I love giggling.
After that I had a little brain freeze. Surely I am not as narrow minded and ungrateful as that. Then I sat on my front porch, and the inspiration just kept a'comin.
I love flowers. I love tolerance. I love couples holding hands and taking walks past my house. I love trees that hang over the sidewalk, so when you walk under them you feel like you're walking under a canopy of branches and blossoms. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. I love holding hands on walks with my sweetie. I love watching things grow. I love volunteer work. I love Love. I love peace. I love affordable health care for everyone. I love big bear hugs. I love smell-goods. I love when babies get the proper vaccinations and health care they need - regardless of parents' ability to pay. I love education and learning. I love diversity. I love craft days. I love BBQs. I love when people make a difference. I love when you wake up and your room is cold and your blankets are warm. I love Sundays spent sleeping in. I love music from the 50's. I love dog parks. I love family dinners. I love living downtown. I love recycling. I love the sound of other people laughing. I love cars that are efficient in gasoline. I love when couples in love are allowed to marry. I love people who are innovating new ways to power society. I love people that stop dwelling on problems and begin finding solutions. I love inspiration. I love when people leave things better than when they got there. I love drinking fresh, clean water. I love fairness. I love watching things like "Extreme Makeover: House Edition" and "Secret Millionaire". I love when rich people help poor people - even if no one is watching. I love when people keep their political opinions to themselves. I love when people tell the truth. I love reading autobiographies of strong women. I love when people think for themselves. I love being young, in love, and on top of the world. I love when people stand up for what is right. I love watching my fish swim around in his bowl. I love doing dishes by hand. I love the sunshine. I love cooking for my family and friends. I love sepia tone photographs. I love vacations. I love progress. I love equality. I love improvement. I love women's rights. I love leisure. I love 3-day weekends. I love movie nights. I love wine. I love happiness.
I really could go on and on....but I also love when people know when to stop.
