This last week I celebrated my birthday. We'll go ahead and call it my 23rd birthday since I'm not admitting to any Birthdays that have happened since then anyway.

This year was completely different that my birthday last year, since last year I was surrounded only by the Ocean, my thoughts, and only a handful of my favorite people. This year I was at home, and was surrounded by friends visiting from out of state, lots of fun, and all of my favorite things.

Thanks to Nate, I finally have the Harry Potter tattoo I've wanted forever!

The tattoo convention with this babe. I'm one lucky SOB.
After the tattoo convention we went to Willie's, my most favorite dive, for Backstreet Boys karaoke, several Gin & Tonics (I can't quite recall at this time exactly how many I enjoyed), the end half of the RSL match, and lots of my most favorite smiley faces. James won the "money stick" from the vending machine at the bar and presented it to me as a gift. Woo hoo!
As an added bonus, Bre was able to come out for her first time since baby Milo was born, so naturally awesomeness ensued. Showing here:

I'm so lucky to have so many awesome people supporting me everyday!
Adrian's family Spoiled. Me. Rotten. for my birthday! His mom sent me a certificate to get a massage and some new clothes (two of my favorite things, which I have needed desperately!) and his sister sent me a case of my FAVORITE root beer that I can't get here in Salt Lake.
I got to enjoy a lovely dinner with Grandma and Gail at the Little America. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, the company couldn't have been better, and I couldn't have been happier. My Grandma hasn't left her house in years - not for church, baby blessings, weddings, funerals - you name it. The fact that she got all dressed up in her fancy clothes and came out for my dinner was one of the biggest compliments of my life, and I am SO happy that I got to enjoy my special day with this very special lady.
My Facebook, text messages and email were all flooded with the kindest, most sincere and lovely words that I have ever been sent! Although there were many "Happy Birthday" messages that made me smile, this one from Mazzy and Leo (two of the fosters in the CFPU program) was by far one of my favorites of all time:

I may or may not have cried a little when I read this - but I'll never admit it, and you can never prove it
This birthday was a great reminder to me of all the incredible people that I am surrounded by, and how many people love me and make my life that much happier.
While I don't plan on getting any older, I would be happy to have 100 more birthdays as long as they are all filled with as much fun, awesome people, love, and laughter as this one!
This is my new life, and I am grateful.
