OAK to LGB

Let me start by telling you about my love for the Ocean. It's a deep, beautiful, true love that I never knew existed, because I never knew the Ocean.

On this second part of the best trip ever in the history of trips, I got to  stay in Oceanside California thanks to one of the wonderful women I work with. When Jan overheard me talking about how badly I wanted to get away for a bit, she graciously offered to let me use the Timeshare points that she had been saving up. Can I just tell you that I know I was supposed to go on this trip? Everything fell into place so beautifully there is just no way to deny it.

SO. Monday, March 18th I flew from the Oakland airport into the Long Beach airport. Klint, Polly & Teddy came and picked me up from the airport because Christine was working. We began the hour long venture from Long Beach to Oceanside and thus began the second half of my best week. I won't bore you with too many words, and instead will dazzle you with the pictures of the tremendous beauty I got to soak in while I was there.

My first morning in Oceanside I woke up and started walking around town to explore my surroundings. It was foggy and overcast and absolutely breathtaking. This pier is about 50 feet away from the condo I stayed in.

While we waited for Klint and Teddy to meet up with us, we ventured over to the Farmers Market before Beach Day.

Beach days were my favorite days ♥

Yeah. These kids friggin love me. It's all good - I love 'em back!

Teddy loved to hold my hand on the pier

Polly sat on my pillow and told me stories to wake me up after our sleep-over.

Seaport Village
Balboa Park Fountain - beautiful!

The Spanish architecture was amaaaaaaazing inside the park!

Japanese Friendship Gardens inside Balboa Park - San Diego, CA

As the sun set on my last day in Oceanside, I couldn't help but feel a little at peace, and a little sad at the same time.
I can't wait to go back!
