Springtime...and I use the term loosely.

The calendar says it's Springtime. Apparently mother nature is running off a different calendar.

Happy little Aidan
Fortunately for me, we have still managed to have some good times these first few months of 2011. Terri, Xander, and Aidan came out to visit us over Spring break and it was so nice to see them! It's really hard on us that we don't see them often enough, especially since Aidan is still so small. I feel like we're missing out on important things in his life. I also have a sense of guilt that I haven't be able to develop as personal a relationship with him as I have with my other cousins that are older...and live in the same state.

We tried to spend as much time out at Grandma and Grandpa's house while Terri was here so that we got to enjoy her family as much as possible. Brody also stayed with Grandma and Grandpa on the weekends, since he didn't have school. Man, he has gotten big!

For one of the days we had to play, we (Terri, Michelle, Bo, Mike and myself) took the older boys to the Planetarium while Grandma stayed at home with Aidan.

We all watched the 3-D movie, Born to be Wild (LOVED it, by the way!) and then afterwards let their little imaginations explore. I think the boys had fun being able to run around and be monkeys while still being in a confined, safe environment for Mom's sanity. On our way into the Planetarium, Brody had  pocketful of beans (don't ask) that he laid on the ground and made little arrow shapes out of in the parking lot. He said it was for in case his "...mom got lost.." Apparently in our rush to get in before the movie started, everyone forgot to check what parking level we were on. Luckily for us, those little bean arrows were still preserved in the parking lot by the time we left. Mike, Bo, my Mom and I wandered around the parking garage for over an hour before we spotted one of those blessed little pile of beans.

Aunt Michelle and sleepy Aidan
Easter dinner was nice. We spent the morning at the Skiby household, which was just as delighful as usual. The food was wonderful, the company was amazing, and the mimosa's were spot on (or so I heard). I then headed to dinner at my Mom's. We haven't had little kids around for a holiday since Terri and Penny moved out of state. It sure was wonderful!

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Terri, Xander and Aidan left back to Vegas the morning following Easter. They made it home safely, and for that I am grateful. I am now looking forward to the next time I get to see the Tyree family.

Love you, Terri! Thanks for coming!
