Toby's Toe

My poor baby Toby had a limp for a few days. He downright refused to walk on his back left leg. It didn't look like there was anything wrong at first, but he would lick it and lick it and sometimes it would bleed.

After a couple days of this, I couldn't take it anymore and I caved. We took him to an animal ER to have his foot looked at. Turns out one of his toenails was cracked, but had cracked inside the nail and gone up into the nail bed. My poor baby!

They ended up removing his nail and he is all good now. He hates his medicine but takes it anyway because he is such a good boy. :)

He sure didn't like his cast (or being at the vet) but he sure has loved the special treatment and babying that he has gotten ever since! :)

I wish I could have gotten a longer video, but here he is in the Vet's office getting ready to leave to go home. He wouldn't walk on his back foot, and instead kicked it out straight behind him. What a goof !
