This Time, It's For Real

Alright folks. Take note. No more procrastination, no more self-loathing, no more bull crap.

I am taking what I currently have (something similar to this):

And am turning it into this:

So that I can wear this:

How you ask? Oh, it's is simple. I'll just set firm guidelines and lay the foundation for healthy habits. I don't want to just "lose weight"...that implies that I intend to find it again. I want to kick my chubs' ASS and get in shape. Be healthy. Here is how I intend to do it. Baby steps:

Truer words were never spoken

Rule #1: Be Active. The weekends this isn't so hard. I just signed up to play on an indoor co-ed soccer team on Saturdays, which will be in addition to the soccer that we play outdoors on Sunday evenings. Plus while the weather is nice and since we live downtown we walk everywhere. During the week it's so hard to find the motivation to get out - besides just taking the dogs out to poop. It's so hot. I'm so tired. (10 hour days seem like 15 hour days!) I just don't want to do anything.

Rule #2: Cutting Back On the Good Stuff: Ok, I may as well be telling myself that I am encouraging crankiness, exhaustion, and self-deprivation of true happiness. This ad makes me so mad because it's so deceiving...if the lady in this picture drank soda, that bitch wouldn't be so skinny!

Also, a note to self: chocolate, brownies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, donuts and cookies are off-limits.

Rule #3: Eat More Veggies. This will be a hard one. I am probably the worlds worst vegetarian - in that I hate most vegetables. Maybe hating what I eat will help me not to eat so much...

Rule #4. Stick With It. I am the definition of "instant gratification". If I work hard, deprive myself, exercise, and watch everyone else have a good time while I count calories I want to see the results of my hard work in the way my clothes fit and how I feel about myself. It's been hard for me to choke it down, but I have finally come to terms that skipping on one brownie this week and taking an extra lap around the block will not make me look better naked by this weekend.

Soo...that's it! That's my game plan. I fully intend on implementing this immediately.
Or tomorrow.
Let me finish this 32 oz. coke and this banana cream cheesecake that Cori left at my house (on purpose, I am sure) and I'll get back to you.
