I am a little upset that I didn't take more pictures. Truth be told, we were too busy having fun to think about taking any!
We met for a late lunch at my favorite - O'Falafel Etc. DELICIOUS! I don't know if she had ever had falafel before, but I think she liked it. We talked about what everyone was up to here and in Boise. I love getting caught up on everything! The kids are all getting so big, and it sounds like Mike and I will be taking a trip up to Idaho for a wedding here shortly... :)
We headed back to my house where my Grandma got to see my place, meet my dogs, and see everything for the very first time. It was nice to be able to share this piece of my life with her. We talked about our politics, ideas, inspirations and hopes for the future over a cup of coffee. The more I learn about my Grandma, the more I just love her. I want to be just like her when I grow up. She is so loving, honest, open-minded, brilliant, patient, down-to-earth, well-rounded and so SO smart. She is just all around wonderful.

We headed over to the Tracy Aviary and enjoyed the sunshine then headed out to get our Tarot cards read, just for fun. When we left to walk down the shops in Sugarhouse we just had to laught at how horrible the "Tarot card reader" was. It was a good laugh, if nothing else.
We stopped at Barnes and Noble to smell the books and cool off with a nice cold beverage from the cafe and headed to Gardner Village, as is coming customary with her visits. (One of the things I look forward to when she comes!) As always, the charm of the village gives a nice calm backdrop and makes it possible to engage in positive, meaningful conversation without distraction.

All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend the day. I was sad that she had to leave, but at the same time I feel like we completely enjoyed every minute together because we knew our time was limited. I can't wait for our next visit. :)
I love you, Grandma!
