The Betty Whites

Yaay! Tonight was my first game as an official member of "The Betty Whites" and, boy...I have my work cut out for me.

When I posted about wanting to get in shape I knew that it would be hard. There would be massive amounts of running, chasing, kicking, and sweat. Tonight showed me just how hard it was going to be. I knew that I didn't exercise as much as I was supposed to, especially since we opted out of softball this year, but I figured that since we play soccer every Sunday - Super Sabbath Soccer Sundays - Six to Sundown @ Sugarhouse Park- I figured that I was going to be able to at least keep up. Man, oh man I was wrong. Dead wrong. Like, feeling like my chest was going to implode by the end of the first 10 minutes wrong. Maybe our game starting at 9:00 pm had something to do with my less-than-impressive stamina, but I will sadly have to say that is probably not entirely true.

This last week I was also asked to join a co-ed kick-ball team on Wednesday nights so I figure that if I keep up with Soccer Sundays + Betty Whites Soccer on Fridays + Kick-ball Wednesdays - the 32 oz. of coke I normally down in a day (if at least just on those days to help me not be so winded) + extra servings of veggies = I will be bringing sexy back in no time. Actually, I will probably be to my target weight just in time for the holidays (15 pounds lighter than I am now), where I can eat massive amounts of goodies and gain it all back.  Ya know, the story of my life.

In the meantime, I will attempt to trick myself into liking to "exercise" by hiding it behind names like, "playing", "soccer", "kick-ball", and "fun".

This is obviously before I got my butt handed to me on the field.
You can tell by the fact that I look excited and am not pouring buckets of sweat.
